THE PROCESS
Building the garden veggie-verse
Animatic DevelopmenT
We developed an animatic for Garden Veggie Snacks using the provided storyboards as a foundational blueprint for the animation. This process allowed us to meticulously align on timing, movement, transitions, and compositions for each shot. By visualizing the narrative flow, we ensured that every element harmonized seamlessly, setting the stage for a dynamic and engaging final animation that highlights the fun and freshness of the brand.
Production
Production day is the pivotal moment where all planning and preparation come to life. On set, every team member plays a crucial role in ensuring the shoot progresses smoothly, with everyone focused on their specific tasks. As the VFX director, I meticulously monitored elements critical for offline and compositing processes. Coordinating with the camera team to capture the necessary green screens and ensuring accurate lighting were paramount. Effective communication with the crew facilitated seamless transitions, allowing us to meet our goals and gather everything we needed by the end of the day. The collective effort on production day not only drives creativity but also ensures a polished final product.
Previs
The pre-visualization process is a crucial stage in the production pipeline, allowing us to meticulously plan for the shoot day. By creating detailed visual representations and layouts, we can identify key factors that will influence the final footage. This planning ensures that every element aligns with our overarching vision, helping to streamline the shooting process. Effective pre-visualization enables us to foresee potential challenges and adjustments, ultimately leading to a smoother workflow during compositing for the final animation.
